When you register for a Place Signal account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication identifiers provided by our identity provider (Clerk).
B. Payment and Billing Information
We use Stripe to process payments. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. Stripe provides us with payment status, last four digits of the card, and billing metadata.
C. Product Usage and Preferences
We collect data you provide while using the platform, including search queries, saved places, shortlists, workspace comments, and report purchase history.
D. Technical and Analytics Data
We automatically collect device and browser information, IP addresses, and interaction data to improve service performance and security.
2. How We Use Information
We use the collected information to provide location intelligence, generate paid Market Reports, manage your account and entitlements, secure the platform, and improve our scoring models.
3. Reports and Workspaces
Data stored in your private workspaces is only accessible to you and users you explicitly invite. We do not sell your specific shortlist data to third parties.
4. AI-Assisted Features
Our "AI Analyst" features process evidence snapshots to generate summaries. These interactions are logged to improve model performance but are not used to train public models without consent.
5. Data Retention
We retain account data as long as the account is active. Paid reports and purchase history are retained for audit and tax purposes for a minimum of 7 years.
6. Security
We use industry-standard security measures (HTTPS/TLS) to protect your data. No internet-based service is 100% secure.

You may update your account information or request data deletion via your Account Settings.
